About the Role
The playworker will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children attending the breakfast and after school clubs. They will facilitate play activities, supervise children, and ensure their well-being during their time at the club.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and organise age-appropriate play activities for children.
Supervise children during playtime, snacks, and other activities.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at the club.
Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Follow club policies and procedures at all times.
Assist in setting up and cleaning up the play area.
Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Requirements
A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and creating a positive, safe environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, children, and parents.
Ability to plan and lead engaging activities that cater to a variety of interests and ages.
Reliable, punctual, and responsible, with a proactive approach to ensuring the best experience for the children in our care.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in childcare (preferred but not essential).
Prior experience working in childcare or a similar setting is an advantage. (Not essential)
Willingness to undergo a DBS check and provide references.
