Apprenticeships
Kickstart your career in childcare with our dynamic apprenticeship program — a hands-on, fun-filled journey where you’ll gain skills, make a difference, and inspire the next generation!
Working as an apprentice
A childcare apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career in early years education, combining hands-on experience with structured learning. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Hands-On Experience
As a childcare apprentice, you’ll spend your days working directly with children, helping to create a fun and supportive environment. You’ll assist with daily routines, such as playtime and snack time while ensuring the children are safe, happy, and engaged. It’s a practical, on-the-job experience where you’ll be learning by doing.

Variety Every Day
Every day will bring something new! You’ll be part of a lively team, planning and leading activities such as arts and crafts, games, or outdoor play. Your role may include interacting with children during structured activities or helping them develop social and motor skills through play. No two days are ever the same, making this a dynamic and exciting job.

Training and Qualifications
Alongside your hands-on experience, you’ll also be completing a training program. This will cover key areas like child development, safeguarding, and health and safety, ensuring you have the knowledge to provide high-quality care. As you progress, you’ll work toward a recognized childcare qualification, which will open up further opportunities in the field.

A Pathway to a Career
This apprenticeship isn’t just a training program; it’s a stepping stone to a career in early childhood education. Whether you choose to stay in the field, pursue additional qualifications, or advance to a leadership role, the experience and qualifications you gain will set you up for success in the childcare industry.

Guidance and Mentorship
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll be paired with a mentor who will offer advice, answer questions, and guide you through your learning journey. They’ll help you build confidence in your skills, provide feedback, and support your growth as you gain experience in a real childcare setting.

Who Thrives in This Role?
If you’re someone who is energetic, patient, and passionate about working with children, you’ll find this apprenticeship rewarding. It’s a role that requires a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine love for nurturing young minds. If you enjoy a busy, hands-on job where no two days are alike, you’ll thrive in this apprenticeship!
